Healing My Wounds

By DAISIE VERGARA | Published: May 5, 2013

This is for a friend...

Tears fall down from my eyes
As I stare at my wounds
Like skin decors nobody wants
The glow of the river of tears
Invites somebody
Not to feast but to mourn.

A sign of sympathy
Is to cry with me,
To carry my cross,
To put one's feet on my shoes,
And to hug me like he is getting half of my burdens.

I don't want to end up crying.
I want to help myself.
I need to stand and fight -
Against my own fear, my best enemy.

The time has come to end up all of these:
The crazy things I must not believe.
The time has come to a new beginning:
The time to heal my wounds
And start a new day!
